Offering Puppy, Obedience, Agility and Individual Classes.

Welcome to Paws To Train Dog Classes, operated by Jill Alleva. We offer private lessons as well as small group classes, using the latest positive methods. Alleva is a member of The American Mixed Breed Obedience Registry, and Therapy Dogs Inc. She is a past President of the Springlake Humane Society, a former evaluator for Therapy Dogs Inc. and AKC's Canine Good Citizen Program. Our classes are aimed at fulfilling the training needs of you and your pet. Jill is interested in the well being of your pet and is ready to make your visit to Paws to Train as fun, efficient and friendly as possible. We hope you will take the time to see for yourself all that we have to offer you and your pet.


For You and Your Dog we offer the following classes:


  • PUPPY CLASS-This is an in-home class for puppies between 6 & 16 weeks old. Puppies learn basic commands and signals using only positive training methods. Owners learn responsible pet care and housebreaking tips. The cost of this class is $25.00 per hour.
  • BASIC OBEDIENCE-This 8-week course teaches dogs to sit, stand, down, stay, heel, & come when called, in the presence of many distractions. Dogs & owners develop a stronger bond during training. The class is $85.00 per dog & limited to 4 dogs per class.
  • INTERMEDIATE OBEDIENCE-This 8-week course is for students interested in showing in Obedience. Students must first complete the Basic Class. Lessons include off-lead control, pinpointing commands, and proper jumping technique.The class is $85.00 per dog.
  • AGILITY I & II- These 8-week courses are based on UKC Agility, with the emphasis on fun! Dogs need to be controllable off-leash, so students must first complete an obedience class at Paws to Train. The fee is $85.00 per course & only 5 dogs in each.
  • PRIVATE LESSONS-Paws To Train offers private lessons for those requiring a little extra attention or for those whose schedules won't allow for a group class. Most private lessons are done during the day. The cost for a private lesson is $25.00 per hour.
